Do you do pre- and post-embryo transfer treatments?

Absolutely. We’d love to support you through your IVF cycle. We’d recommend you come in well before your transfer, but give us a call whenever you’re ready.

I have a lot going on with my health. Can I book extra time with you?

Of course! Contact us to make arrangements for a longer appointment and we’ll make sure you get the time you need to go through your health history properly. You can also email information in advance like test results or medications and we can review these beforehand as well.

Where are you located?

Our acupuncture clinic is located inside The Laneway hair salon in Brighton East. To enter, come in the front door of the salon and go upstairs to the second level and you will find our beautiful space.

Please note there is no ramp or elevator to the second floor. If climbing stairs presents a difficulty for you, please call our friendly team on 9556 0299 to discuss other options.

What payment options do you accept?

Credit cards, direct debit and cash are all accepted at Blue Wren Acupuncture Clinic.

Can I claim my treatment on my health insurance?

Yes, private health rebates are available on acupuncture and remedial massage appointments. On the spot claiming is available through HICAPS.

Blue Wren Acupuncture is a Medibank Private Members Choice Clinic. Special rates are available for patients with Medibank Private health insurance. Please contact us on 9556 0299 for details.

Unfortunately, most funds do not allow rebates for Chinese herbal medicine or naturopathy and no rebates are available for telehealth consultations.

Are you registered with WorkSafe or TAC?

Yes, we are registered with both WorkSafe and TAC. Please let us know at the time of booking that you are intending to seek support under either of these arrangements and email a copy of your approval letter for acupuncture before your appointment to info@bluewrenacupuncture.com. We will contact you about any specific arrangements and will advise the amount of the gap payment that you will need to pay.

I would like a treatment that includes both acupuncture and cupping or both acupuncture and herbs. Actually, I’d like the works! Which option should I book?

Choose the 60-minute acupuncture session. This will include acupuncture and other treatment options such as Chinese cupping or a herbal prescription. Your specific needs will be discussed and a treatment plan devised that meets your exact situation.

I‘m not sure if I want needles. Can you still help?

We love acupuncture and we would love you to love it too. However it’s not for everyone so if you’re not keen on needles or not sure, then there are other ways we can help. Treatments can be adapted to include acupressure (no needles, just using the acupuncture points), a TENS machine with no needles, ear stickers, cupping, gua sha, herbs or nutritional advice according to Chinese medicine principles.

We’re here to help, and will do everything we can to make you feel comfortable and supported.

Can I book a massage only?

Unfortunately we are not taking new remedial massage patients at this time. We do have acupuncture sessions with traditional Chinese medicine cupping and gua sha massage (see our services page for more information).

Is parking available?

Street parking is available on Thomas St opposite the clinic.

How do I request a refund of my deposit?

Our booking policy is that 24 hours notice is required for any changes or cancellations to appointments. This allows us time to offer the space to someone else who may benefit from treatment.

If you are seeking to change your appointment with more than 24 hours notice, you can use the link in your appointment confirmation email, or notify us by phone, email or text message. We will refund 100% of the deposit. Please allow a few business days for the funds to appear in your account.

If less than 24 hours notice is given for any reason, the deposit is strictly non-refundable.
